Happy Halloween

So I just participated in a costume contest at work...how degrading. BUT...I did win a $10 gift card to chipotle - see - anyone can be bought. Apparently I don't cost that much.
On another work note - I put a naked juice in the fridge yesterday and I had my initials on it...guess what wasn't in the fridge today?

So now that I'm done complaining about the trivial details of my work life I guess I'll just post what really matters...

In case you can't read it on the pic - Umber Studios TONIGHT. 3109 East 42nd St. 7PM.

just some fun photos

weekend warriors

So the past two weekends Mike and I have decided to spend a total of 20+ hours in the car together...that's right...over twenty hours in a tiny little space together. All in all it went very well. Last weekend we headed up north to my family's cabin...pretty much rocked out on 4-wheelers and beer. It was pretty awesome. One down side was there was like 14 people up there; not quite as quiet/relaxing as I had imagined but totally enjoyable. This past weekend we hit Iowa City in an homage to summer time fun and had halloween fun. In a suprise move Iowa City was pretty great. It's not that I didn't think Iowa City would be fun, but you know, I didn't really think it would be that fun. I completely thought hanging out with Sam would be awesome - I just was really suprised by the city itself. The ability to walk pretty much everywhere (except La Reina) was great. Highlights...in no particular order... -Meeting Sam's parents...pretty much awesome people who explain why sam is who he is. -Checking out the Full Kit and watching sam play dress up -walking through campus with sam's parents pre-game...iowa fans are insane -getting amazing mexican food and weird mexican candy with cutty, sam and mike -sleeping on the most amazingly comfortable futon of all time with a space heater -having the most epic halloween posse of anyone...Britney, K-Fed, Jesse Federline and the paparazzi -finding a squirrel baby at goodwill and claiming he was Sean Preston in a halloween costume...only after Sam tried to convince me to cut off it's head and sew it to a different body...(see photos below) -visiting the pet adoption store...they do good things there...and the puppies and kitties are so cute

so..yeah

Ok...I know I'm not the first to have it...but...Felicidades a los Espinozas! Ellos tienen un bebe nuevo, se llama Rocco Espinoza! I don't have a photo of Rada and Callie...so you get photos of each.

So if you've ever had an eye infection you might understand my misery this weekend. I infact had dual infected eyes...apparently when you get a really bad cold it compromises your immune system...who knew? And when your immune system is compromised you are WAY more succeptible to awesome things like ear aches, bronchitis; and yes - eye infections. I don't want to sound like a wimp...but that is some excrutiating pain. Two eyes out of commission = no fun.

Even with the dual eye infection I had a good weekend...got to hang with the brother for a little bit, get a bunch of work done with Stacy, and spend time with Mike. I did NOT get to hang out with J, S, and K of 27th and Colfax fame...I blame the seeping eyes. I also didn't get to see Lisa, or her new house...and for that I am also dissapointed. Too many people I love, not enough time. Or eyesight.
