Leap Year - that means I'm 6

You knew it was coming...now it's time to celebrate!

Juri Loginov & I will be hosting our joint birthday party (he's the 28th - I'm the 29th) at the one, the only...Town Talk Diner...

Friday, February 29th!
10:00pm - 2:30am

We have the restaurant side (right off the bar) reserved at midnight - not to mention our very own cocktail waitress - so come anytime after ten - and prepare to takeover after midnight!
Your presence (but not presents) are cordially invited...

You decide.

So - I'm kind of one of those people that thinks everything happens for a reason: fate, destiny, kismet, happenstance, etc etc etc...

So I apply for a job with a company who didn't even call me back last time I applied. What did they do - call me the next morning? Interview me that next evening? Phone interview with the National Director the next day? Job offer that same day? Like that isn't enough.

So the day after I received a verbal job offer the Senior Vice President of my company informed me he had a dream in which I had quit - and he was trying to get me to come back to work for them...he also happened to relate this story to me just an hour after I had hung up with "new" company...

Weird you might say - but not crazy...

Then...I decide to eat a fortune cookie today...the first was so weird I decided to eat two...then it got weirder...

Not to mention - Gary Spivey was on the radio this morning...even Benji would agree that means something!

Whoa

AHHHHH HAAAAA...Fooled you!
You thought I was going to be stuck at my crappy job forever - but thanks to Joe Camel I'm out!

And I'm headed to Florida - which means I'm headed to sun, warmth, and happiness!!! Not to mention my BFF. Thank you BFG for hiring me - you know I'm going to kill it!

So now for a little clarification. Quit my job today. Got hired by BFG in the same day. Also - learned that my current (soon to be prior) job is paying me a bonus next week - on February 29th!!! Allllrrriiiggghhhhtttt. First day on the job is in Florida - so I a might as well go hang out with boots before - right? Right.

Also - mega birthday plans are about to be posted...keep your eyes open.

GREAT News!

1. Barto...aka Kris Barto...aka Bartaco is in town. (Not home - because apparently Charleston feels like home now). I have had the pleasure of hanging out with Kris two nights in a row...Tuesday at Familia's (et al) two-fer night at the Triple Rock; and again last night at Town Talk. Also pretty excited to see Andrew...aka Lurker...Lurkatina last night. He's going to be a dad. Crazy.

2. STACY is coming to town! (and again - not home...because...well I guess this isn't home for her anymore either). Watch out kids...there's going to be trouble in paradise (and by paradise I mean this cold hell we are currently inhabiting). All right. Word on the street is this...if you feel a little pang in your heart because you're missing Stace - you can go hang out with a 15' tall poster of her in the new Roseville Best Buy. Thanks for the tip Tea. Or you can try to kick it with us next week. You decide.

No real explanation for these photos...just a couple fun nights. Couple fun shots.

Tiny Person...Enormous Presence

Oh Chan. You stole my heart. You really did. Not that you didn't make us wait for it...but it was oh so worth it. And thank you Judah Bauer - you totally blew me away.

Do you think she wants to introduce me to Karl? Because I would like that almost as much as I adored the show last night.

Laurie said "Free never felt so good" and I'm jealous...but let me tell you...$25 never felt so good either. Serious.

Two-fer Tuesdays

If you didn't make it out to the new Burlesque/Famila/5th Element night at the Triple Rock then you're lame. And I mean that. I'm not going to lie - I thought I'd see more heads out there...and by the end of the night it really started shaping up - but come on people. Lets make what we call an effort this week and get out. I know it's cold, I know it's windy, I know it's a Tuesday - but let's make an effort. I mean, two drinks for the price of one drink. I went last week, stayed until 1:30, and then went to a work meeting at 8:00am. If I can do it - so can you.

Here's a recap of what you should have been a part of...

Terrorist'd or Terroristed

Mike is claiming that if "terrorist" were a verb it would be terrorist'd - I'm wondering on that spelling. Maybe terroristed. Like - "See Spot get terroristed." Or, "If I'm on a plane that gets terrorist'd I'd just want it to be over fast."

Anyway. Bonni's over and it's making me VERY happy. Nice.

Missing Stacy. Are you reading this? You better be.

Traffic jams bitch

Yep. Took part in my civic duty tonight. Huckabee took AL - which makes me afraid that I've driven through it. Ugh. Mike aptly asked, "Don't people know he wants to do away with the IRS and put in place a federal sales tax on everything at 23%"? My answer, "No. They don't". Well now you know. Just in case you were thinking of voting Huckabee.

I guess people were actually complaining that the lines were too long. Shut up. People are actually participating in our political system. Then when too many show up to the party they bitch. Once more. Shut up. There were even traffic jams. That's awesome.

Heading out to the Trip Rock tonight for the new Tuesday night. Reviews and pics to follow.

Everybody's working for the weekends...

So much happening/happened. Where to start? In the past moving toward the future. Ok.

So even if you're not a basketball or TWolves fan (or if you're amberjean and you ask me "What sport does Kevin Garnett play?") you should check out this CP story...and pay attention to the last quote. It actually made my day. Serious.

Also in the past - Mike and I went to the TWolves game Friday...our boys took down the Clippers. Anyone else getting hyped? Kevin & Sam also attended the game - but took off early to haunt NE. Mike ditched me to skate - but I ditched him to hang with Jen and Sarah - so I guess we're even. Sarah and I made a late-night run to BLB. So did a lot of other people.

Saturday seriously threw me off. I was informed around 9pm that EC's birthday would include skateboarding, Wii, and the Red Stag. Fast forward to 11pm. Me walking up to the studio and spying none other than Scott Seekins waiting for the bus. Walk into the studio and see a rager going on. Really? When's the last time you went to (for all extents and purposes) a house party?

Hey pretty ladies...hey
brothers. to each other. and me.
party time. excellent.
does it look like I have jowls? weird.

I think they like each other.
Mean muggin. Fo sho.
Happy Birthday. If it counts, EC's not gay.

Boots. I miss you.
CuddleFest.
Dancing.
Dancing?

Mike was sick on Saturday, and Sunday (and today). Explanation for his absence in photos.

My family has a lot of birthdays in the first quarter of the year - so I did that on Sunday. View photo-log below.
The drive home...and the hill of many camp-0uts

Swensons. I used to bike up here every day in the summer and buy candy.
Dala Horse. Or Dala Häst. If you're in the know.

We have a lot of these in "town"
oh god yes.
Notice a common wardrobe from party to family? Sorry.
