Extreme Weekend

Anyone who missed this weekend's festivities is totally lame. And I mean totally. Most extreme weekend in recent memory to say the least. Friday night started out strong with the girls & a jarra of sangria...doesn't get much better. Drinks by the river and a pit-stop at a gallery w/ the BF and Tuck187. Sarah's convinced she should quit nursing school and become an artist. I don't know how many times I heard her exclaim "$5,000! Who would pay $5,000!!!" "$400. So not worth it!"

We continued the night of fun with a swing over to NordEast. Let the good times roll. I don't really remember too much detail. We started at the NE Palace...made our way to Mayslack's (thanks to the guy at the door who let us all in w/o having to pay cover!) and ate our way into happiness with awesome food. We tried to hit the Deuce Deuce to "up the epicocity" but they were closing so we hit some other spot (maybe Grumpys?) and played darts and drank our sorrows away.

Saturday Night:
I missed the daytime Tre Day scene, but made up for it by partying like I was 18 at Nye's...ask anyone. Stacy and I know how to get it down; so we started happy hour out proper. Then it was on to meet up w/ the girls and kill ourselves over a couple cheap drinks for an hour DT. Nye's appeared before our eyes a short while later - and the rest is history. It was serious fun to see everyone - lots of people always pop out of the woodwork for stuff like this (although there were a few people I was suprised to not see in attendance - haters). HUGE thank you to Sam for letting us ride out the night in style with a pit stop at the Graves. Once you know luxury it's hard to go back to the couch (or Super8). Hopefully we can replicate a good time this upcoming weekend; but I don't think it will top what went down this past.

Killing Time

Ok - so I know this is kind of dumb - but I'm killing time...so who cares:

Go to google. Click on maps. Click on Get Directions.

Type New York, New York to Paris, France. Read #23 or 24. I love it.

I really want to be on vacation again - can anyone tell? Whenever I am bored at work I hit the email to check the "Daily Top 20" travel deals. Then it's on to expedia and travelocity (respectively) to see what's out there. I'm considering traveling to Paris, Vegas, Puerto Rico, New York or Barcelona right now. Tough choices. If only I had some money.

FREEDOM - in NordEast

Freedom means a lot of different things to a lot of different people. For some of us it means we can say anything we want about our government, apply to any kind of job, practice any form of religion, and love any kind of person.

This weekend - freedom in northeast minneapolis meant something different. If you weren't out to celebrate April Freedom 07 you missed out! Don't worry; there will be a Round 2 in May.

When you walk into a bar and everyone stares - and nobody knows your name- it gets kind of weird kind of fast. When you are with the only group of women - and the dj yells out "This ones for all the fine ladies!" it gets even weirder...faster. Definitely need to give a shout to the rad bouncer with the giant belt buckle...and the leather vest. He handled business when some crazy stormed out the front door with her cell yelling "911 muther fucker"

I'd put pictures from our NoF (Night of Freedom) up - but they're illegal in too many states. Let me tell you - the Deuce Deuce (22nd ave) made the night; even if Tylee puked in his mouth. 20-year old body, 60-year old face. I'm shuddering.

My one complaint is that we ended the night at Whitey's w/ some sliders. Of course it was really great when we saw some dudes from the Deuce Deuce and got to call them out; it went something like this: "Hey, weren't you guys just at the Deuce?"
"No..."
"Really, because we were and we saw you there."
"Oh, yeah. Hi. What are you up to?"

Ahhhhh....FREEDOM

Hater Parade

Wow - I didn't know my close personal friends were such whiners. Or should I say weiners? Iowa & TG - I've had enough out of you & your comments - love it or leave it as they say kids.

Moving on to bigger and better things - like my life!!! Checked out the new Guthrie last night for the first time - and I have to say...I approve. I know I'm a little late in getting over there - but it was worth the suspense. Beautiful views, great layout, and they kept the stage layout the same...awesome.

BTW - skip Matty B's in Mpls; I've heard the Shots Pizzle local has good food...but we got bad service and mediocre food at best on our venture over; plus it's next to a tanning salon???

Does anyone else think it's weird that I'm craving guacamole & the ocean right now? guess I'll have to settle for snow angels.
