Would you rather...

and other challenging questions.

I don't know if you've ever played the game "Would you rather?" It's not an innocent game by any means...but sometimes it can get really fucked up. Pretty much if you play this game with Eric William Carroll you'll see how gnar it can be.

The heart branded me...

You know what's weird? When your boyfriend (who you live with) and you've dated for 6 years (today) comments that you haven't updated your blog. That's weird. He's now trying to claim he didn't make said comment. When I verbatim recounted the comment he smirked and said that may or may not have happened. It's also weird writing about this when he's laying right next to me commenting on everything I'm typing (including the fact that I apparently type "too hard" and/or "too furiously" on the keys. What can I say? I'm a maniac.

So yeah. We've made it to year six. I know we've won numerous "cutest couple of the year" awards - we had it on lock from 2003 - 2006, faltered to Bonni & Kyle in 2007 and we're working to regain the title for '08.

Wang and FT Make It Official

CONGRATULATIONS are in order for our favorite John Vang. It sounds like he officially popped the most official question of all time. I actually thought they were already engaged...so it looks like I'm not as "in the know" as I previously thought.

Rollin through some Gangstas

As foretold yesterday and last night reached levels of supreme epicosity.

The day started innocently enough...BonBon and I wanted to hang out but we couldn't decide between the mall, the science museum, or the historical society (I'm not kidding). We decided that while it was a big risk the mall probably had fewest children and the most food options. For the most part we were right...until this pretty adorable toddler who had been laughing and running around near us while we were eating ice cream just sat down and started screaming. Then we left.

We went to UpSix which is one of our favorite vintage shops in town. Meghan was working and she told us to check out the new sneaker shop next door. We walked into sneaker heaven. It was the grand opening party and Bonni promptly won a pair of kicks and I scored a t. I also purchased some new sneaks...they will be debuted when all this snow melts. Anyway...below is a picture of the millenium falcon that Meghan has in the shop. I'm pretty jealous.

We then went to the liquor store and met Rocco. I normally don't like small dogs, but this one just sits on top of the counter and acts adorable. Then his owner convinced us to by a giant bottle of champagne (see below). I think it's some sort of trick...
Bonni and Jumbo. Bonni & Kyle's record collection. If they both die it's bequeathed to me.

Still life. Or a party's about to pop.

I'm not trying to brag...but I took that down one handed...

and then it took me down.

JC or Laurie? you decide.

Bonnilicious and I met up with folks...and then we collectively met up with more folks at the Red Stag Supper Club. I heart the Lambrusco. Sparkling reds are so underrated.

I love night time shots of lights...and the Hennepin Ave Bridge makes a great subject.

Then things got real. We hit TML at First Ave. I haven't been to Too Much Love in quite a while...I've been sorely disapointed in the crowd the past few months (yes - I am a snob - and i don't like to hang out with 18-21 year olds). There are very few exceptions to that rule...and since TML is 18+ it can be whacked out at times. Last night there were some whacked out under-agers...but I think we rolled with a deep enough crowd that it didn't bother me.

Little E and Cynth showing love at the Love.

Big T. Who is neither big, nor the weirdest dancer in the room.

I thought if I took a photo of this dude while he was trying to "dance up on me" (as the kids say) he would get embarrassed and stop. He didn't.

I have no idea what Laurie was pointing at...all I know is that it distracted me from noticing this chicks jacket until I was looking through photos. Thank you Sam for snapping this flick...Priceless.

I absolutly love taking photos of people making out. You might not be able to see it - but these two both had big X marks on their hands. Of course they did. Also - she noticed I was taking pictures of them - so she grabbed his hat, put it on, and covered her face.
Do you think she's had this happen before?

The dude in the pink wins the award for most energy last night. Hands down.

This is why I shouldn't drink enormous bottles of champagne. Someone starts to finger-bang.

And then it becomes a threesome. Before you know it - someone is going to lose an eye.

Short Term Memory Loss...and other side affects

I honestly think I had something interesting to say.  Lost it.

Hope to see some of you out tonight...it's been a while.

The Mayor...and we won!

Most of you know that I like the Wolves. Most of you also know Mike LOVES the Wolves. I'm not saying he's more passionate - he just rocks more knowledge.

You may not know that I love a few current (and former) Wolves players...they are:
  1. KG. So obvious. But so right.
  2. Corey Brewer...mostly because he's so skinny...I'd love to buy him a burrito after a game.
  3. Mad Dog (aka Mark Madsen) because he's like the beating heart of that team...
  4. Big Al - duh...he's killing it this season...and tonight he broke the offensive boards record for a season for the wolves (which if you consider or offensive rebound record you shouldn't be too surprised that this man can (and did) do it).
  5. drum roll please...
Yes - that is myself posed alongside The Mayor...former TWolve, current Asst. GM! You might scratch your head and say...who? Let me tell you!
- Former Wolve (with a heart of gold) that happens to be faulty. He has some crazy heart condition that basically makes it impossible for him to play at the professional level because he could seriously drop dead at any second. He weighed the risk v. benefit ration and decided to become the Asst. GM. I like him better alive.
-He is 6 feet, 5 inches tall (that is 1 foot, 2 inches taller than me).

-He is from Ames, Iowa.
-He was so popular in his hometown (where he played highschool and college ball) that he garnered the moniker "The Mayor"
-He is really nice.
-I photo stalked him the entire game tonight.
One of these girls is for sure his daughter...I'm guessing the girl in the Hoiberg jersey...but they might all be...he has like 7 kids I think. I know...it's creepy I know that, and creepy I took this picture - but they were being really funny. I'm really not a creep. He (and the daughter(s)) left their seats for a few minutes and this a-hole and some other guy tried to poach them. It was so awesome to watch Fred come back, realize what happened, and then mock-count the rows multiple times before asking the dudes to move.

How embarrassing - stealing seats from the General Manager of the franchise?

Final Score: 98-94 - but the real win...stalking Fred all night!

She's got legs...

I don't know why...but recently I've started documenting my legs in various places. Want to know where they've been? So do I.

I'd also like to point out that I'm listening to "We Didn't Start the Fire" by Billy Joel and I feel really good about that right now. Don't ask. It's been a long strange couple of weeks.
"It was always burning since the world's been turning"...words of wisdom.

Fake Life...MIA Style

I'm sure I've already talked your ear off about what a great time I had in MIA...but did you know I had a great time in MIA? Photo journal follows:

Mr. Clucky. Duh.
Wish I was there for the real BDay.

Ahhh. Peter. And Bowie.
Wait - Monica knows Muska? Or is that ass-less chaps?
Rokbar...and so much more...
Lex doesn't just like the Cool Kids...he is a cool kid.
One of Many

Skyline Sunrise

This looks so right to me.

How many posts in one day?

So I'm reverting to my birthday...though it was weeks ago I never uploaded photos...turns out there aren't very many...was I drunk?
