Well...almost!!! The stars are aligning (as Neal would say) and the convergence of multiple countdowns is about to happen. But since I'm hungry and we're going to a movie this will have to reveal itself later today.
Mike - stop asking me to reveal to you early. That's what these "teaser" blogs are for bitches...ya gotta keep reading. I know the suspense is killing you (softly).

Random update...literally just going to ramble until Stacy texts me back about lunch plans. So I miss snowboarding. It's official. I think I'm actually going to start riding a lot more this winter and I'm pretty excited about it.
Also - pretty hyped on rock climbing again. I go through phases with everything. It's just how I do.
Ok.
Enough of that.
Enough of that.
So Stace, Laurie and I went and saw Shoreline play at the Uptown bar and grill. I bet you didn't know that they have great ranch dressing there, none of that Hidden Valley bullshit so many places serve. See photos below for your viewing pleasure.
Ahhh cute...the whole band is totally jammin out...go jam bands....oh wait. "I don't like hippies and I don't like jam bands" name that infamous quote.
Did anyone else see this giant Shoreline sign...it totally lit the place up.
Did I mention this was going to be random...here's the little minpin of my dreams.
Hey Tuck - The Bird and the Bee? Varsity? 1/10/08? Me leaving for Puerto Rico the next day? I think so!

Merry Christmas to ALL
That's right...we've got a lot of snow. It's beautiful, but god is it a pain in the ass. Hope everyone has been driving safe.
I have completely enjoyed the past six days.
1) No work
2) Time with my family
a)Saturday at my grandma's. Then my parents and uncle going out in mpls and spending the night here
b) Going home Sunday and having brunch Monday morning w/ Scott, Laurie & the girls + Rod and Tracy = too many glasses of mimosa and a long afternoon nap.
c) All day Monday and today at my parent's house with the brother and stacy.
d) My grandparent's house today and all the weirdness that entails
3) Time with my friends
a) Friday night - I don't remember what I did Friday night *and no - I wasn't that drunk - I just don't have a good memory
b) Millions Billions at Kitty Cat Club w/ Stace, Laurie, Sam and Kevin...and two bottles of champagne...without an afterparty
c) Stacy at christmas...Norman was NOT that bad...my fam loves him.
It's almost time for the final countdown...I think I have four different countdowns converging on the same time line...that is kind of blowing my mind. I'll explain later.
Not excited about tomorrow because that equals work. Oh god. Work.
Also - miss you mike. Hope you're laughing at all that snow. You'll be shoveling soon sucker.

and a new baby to boot
So my very good friend Kait lives in Egypt with her husband Shady, and she is home right now because they just had their first baby!!! She came stateside in order to receive the best medical care possible - and the result was a beautiful new baby...
Does this plot sound like some crazy movie? Goes to Egypt to study...meets dashing Egyptian who steals her heart near the end of the trip. Commence long distance relationship as said dashing man studies in England. Man moves to U.S. - they move to CA. They marry in MN and then move back to Egypt. I think we could make some money with this - learning each others cultures, families, interests...real tear jerker. And a baby!
I love you guys! Congratulations!

So this was pretty cool...
It's no secret that I am less than thrilled about my job; but a couple cool things happened today.
1) Someone I work with emailed me this:
They were referring to a coworker's highschool photo. Nice.
2) This hawk just hangs out on the balcony where I work. I was pretty hyped.
3) I don't know if I can get any more random. Except to say that I really want this:
What can I say - I mean honestly...not much else.

Dolly Parton saves lives
For those of you who participated in Cher week over at ledare-exhaling will hopefully appreciate this gem.
You will appreciate it if you know what's good for you.
You will appreciate it if you know what's good for you.
21 minutes and 35 seconds
I talked on the phone with my grandma this morning. She's a pretty amazing lady - I can't really believe everything she's lived through. I think talking with her made waking up worth it. I hope so.
Thanks to Jen, Sara and Katie for hosting the christmas bash last night. And thanks to the girl who sought me out to tell me the brie I brought was awesome. That was awesome. I think her name was Jenny...if you're out there Jenny...thanks.
Also - happy birthday to Scott (I can't spell his last name) from calsurf. The party calsurf threw last night was completely enjoyable...got to see lots of really great people that I just don't see enough of.
As for the rest of the night...cuzzy's was pretty ok...company was good and that's all that matters...everything after that is a blur I'm choosing to disregard.

ramblings...or drunk with power...
So Sam's band played at the Fine Line the other night...you may have read about it on Stacy's blog. I swiped a couple of pictures from her...I felt justified since I took at least one of them.
(I don't remember if I took the pic of Stace & Sam - but I liked it so I stole it from her).
(I don't remember if I took the pic of Stace & Sam - but I liked it so I stole it from her).
Anyway - since my last post was so full of love I feel like I can totally hate on some stuff in this post. NOT hating on Shoreline. I've seen them live twice now and I have to say I've been pretty hyped both times. I'm feeling Denial of the Tide.
I WILL hate on the band that played after them. I KNOW they're still in highschool. Believe me - I'm jealous. My band (yes...I was in a band) didn't get to play the FineLine when I was in high school. BUT. I do know that if we did I would have been damn sure we looked like we should have been there. Jesus. I can't even begin to describe how horrible this gettup was.
And to the d-bag who "introduced" himself to Laurie - go to hell. Her name is Laurie...she's not anybody's sister (ok - yes she is...not the point) and she's fucking awesome. And give up the damn air horn.

Haters...or something like it
So recently a certain friend has been giving me grief for being a "hater"
I fully embrace the fact that I'm a hater...and I don't even feel guilty that often; but once in a while a pang hits (and I guess today (actually 2 days ago as this post took forever because of work) is one of those days). I would like to clarify and say that I only hate on incredibly superficial things. You might not think this is a great defense...but I assure you it is. I DO NOT hate based on race, religion, sexual orientation, etc. I DO hate on an abundance of very petty things; from bad haircuts to bad clothing, bad taste in music and anything else that could "at-a-glance" qualify you as a douche bag. I swear to god...I'm just willing to say what most people are thinking. So I guess you can hate on me for that...
Anyway...back to said pang of guilt. Being the end of year and all I suppose it is time for some reflection. I've decided to add a whole long list of things that
I DO NOT HATE!

So much that is so right
Alber Elbaz is genius.
Sorry that you have to link to it...but as Mike said, "The Style people are haters" and they don't have a blogger embedded.
And so is this blogger...discotheque confusion is killing it.
Also killing it: The Pierces. Two hottie sisters from down south. I've been listening to them non-stop and I think you'll like them too.

Deal? No fuckin deal
Don't let this man fool you!
I can guarantee that it will be a HUGE waste of your time. Really. HUGE.
If a friend ever asks you to be their "support" when they're trying out for a game show...think of D.A.R.E. and just say no.

She's got legs...and she knows how to use them
So I thought it would be a proper time to debut my new bootie since it's looking so fly these days:
and while I'm at it...I'd like you to meet my new boyfriend.
He'll kick your ass if you stare at my behind for too long.
I also have two new pastimes that I thought I'd share...
and reading my new favorite book series:
